Approximately 20 groups from McBride participated in an awareness and recruiting drive under the banner of Caring Communities. Organized by Robson Valley Support Society, the Caring Communities Exhibition included groups like the Horseman’s Association, the Arts Society and Whistlestop Gallery including the artist Glen Frear, Elks and Royal Purple Service Clubs, the Volunteer Fire Department, Valley Piecemakers, sports and recreation groups including basketball, volleyball and pickleball, the Robson Valley Health Authority, the Library, the Food Bank and Mountain Chapel.
Promoting first meetings, special upcoming events and soliciting for new participants was the order of the day.
This event was sponsored in part by The Village of McBride, McBride Community Forest and Robson Valley Support Society.
