We all know the library can take us places we never imagined through books, but now it has taken fantasy to a new level with its giant outdoor chess & checkers set. Valemount Library director Wendy Cinnamon says they bought the board using a grant and it will be set up now and then throughout the summer on the library lawn. It will also be on display this weekend during the library’s 50th anniversary celebrations. Anyone can come and play using the big plastic pieces.
