The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died after colliding with a tree April 15th, 2014.
She was Felicia Ann Eaton, aged 54, of Tete Jaune Cache.
Eaton was one of a group of five snowmobilers who were snowmobiling in the backcountry of the Small River watershed, about 60 kilometres northeast of Highway 16, says an RCMP release. At about 2 p.m. on April 15, they were attempting to ascend a steep slope when Eaton lost control of the machine and collided with a tree. Police say she died at the scene.
Eaton was a dental hygienist and ran her own company Tete Creek Dental Hygiene.
There will be a memorial service on Tuesday April 22nd at 3pm at the Tete Jaune Community Hall.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate. Eaton’s family has been notified of her death.
