Dan Lawless tested out some spinach from the Valemount Secondary School greenhouse last week. Lawless’ Horticulture 11 class planted seeds directly in the greenhouse in February, except for tomatoes and cucumbers which were started inside and transplanted when the weather warmed. The vegetables include lettuce, spinach, radishes, and carrots . This is the first spring crop from the greenhouse which was built last year adjacent to the school.Related Posts:Learning Centre gearing up for "Village Greens"Non-profit to invest in local winter time greensRobson Valley produce delivery goes electricHydroponic "Growcer" container arrives +VIDEOBlack gold: a deep dive into compostingPost navigationEaster egg hunt + slideshow!Assault, dog killed: RCMP report April 12-18
