It’s an exciting time for 5th Ave. After several years of stores closing downtown, two new businesses will open Dec. 6th – the Three Ranges Brewery and the Rocky Mountain Marketplace variety store.
Three Ranges will be open for tastings starting this Friday 4pm-9pm. You can purchase growlers (glass jugs) and you’ll soon be able to purchase cans.
Michael Lewis and Rundi Anderson plan to brew eight to 10 batches per month. Their distribution will be limited to the Robson Valley to begin with. It will be on tap at the Best Western and they are finalizing which other stores or restaurants will carry it on tap or in cans.
The Rocky Mountain Marketplace will offer a variety of products including electronics and winter clothing.
Angie and Bart Larsen moved to town in September from Edmonton with four of their five children.
“We wanted to move to the mountains,” Bart said, adding that they felt they could contribute something to Valemount’s economy.
