McBride resident Tom Ryan is off to another Extreme Horsemanship competition. Ryan finished 4th in the Pro Extreme Cowboy Race in Linden, Washington, with his horse Q.
Ryan also finished first with another horse, 007, in the Non-pro Extreme Cowboy Race, qualifying him for the World Championships to be held in Hamilton, Texas from Oct. 30 to Nov. 3.
Ryan will be carrying the Canadian flag into the arena at the World Championships. Some 200 contestants have qualified for this year’s event from Canada, the United States, Europe, Japan, and for the first time, Africa.
