The Prince George Fire Centre is reporting new 12 fires in the Dome Creek and Driscoll Creek area.
All fires are estimated at less than one hectare in size and none are currently threatening homes or infrastructure. The fires are along Highway 16 east of Prince George, a press release said.
Initial attack crews are handling the fires, which were most likely caused by lightning from the weather system that moved through over the weekend.
