After a quick Public Hearing held immediately before the regular Council Meeting of May 14, the Village has granted a Temporary Use Permit (valid until May 31, 2015) to the Canoe Valley Community Association for their location on Commercial Drive. Kinnickinnickers Family Centre has been open for a few weeks as a clothing, toy and book exchange for children six and under, but now the permit allows CVCA to use the location as a public assembly facility. Charlotte Abernathy, program coordinator, says their first program is scheduled to start soon.
