On Nov. 4th, Valemount hosted its 3rd annual Valemount Idol at the Community Theatre. Locals crammed in to watch an exceptional slate of local talent.
Singers, musicians and dancers took their turn on stage. The youngest participant was just seven years old and the oldest was retired.
Judges Donalda Beeson, John Crowley, Janey Weeks and Seiji Hiroe gave their expert analysis of each contendent – and much encouragement.
At the end of the evening some $900 was doled out to the winners. First place went to Harri Salonen for his mixture of seven several classical and popular musical pieces. Second place went to J.D. Cardinal and third to Ellise Bressette.
The evening was televised by VCTV and broadcast live in the theatre on a screen set up near the stage. It was organized by the Valemountain Days Committee, VCTV and a dozen volunteers.
